HYDERABAD, March 31: The Sindh High Court has dismissed the 12 petitions filed by sugar mills of Sindh regarding payment of quality premium to growers.
This was said by Sindh Chamber of Agriculture president Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah while presiding over a weekly meeting of the chamber held at the Agriculture Complex here on Sunday.
Mr Shah said the chamber had to become a party in the petitions to safeguard the interests of the growers.
The growers have been advised to approach sugar mills to get payment of their arrears of quality premium at the rate of 50 paisas per 40 kg.

A floral wreath laying ceremony would be held at the mausoleum of former Sindh University vice-chancellor Allama I.I. Kazi on April 13, besides holding Quran Khuwani and offering Fateha.
