QUETTA, March 27: Quetta finished its unbeaten run in the preliminary round of the National Junior Hockey Championship when they defeated Kalat 4-2 in the final of the round on Wednesday.

Both the teams, however, would appear in the main round from April 4-16 at Faisalabad.

Naveed opened the scoring for the winners in the fourth minute. Kalat equalised two minutes later through Amir Ali. But Quetta regained the lead in the 10th minute through Uzair.

Kalat once again fought back to level the score with Danish getting the equaliser in the 25th minute.

Quetta managed to score twice to emerge victors. Uzair and Rehman Shah making sure of victory with strikes in the 65th and 69th minute.—APP
