MIRPURKHAS, March 27: The PPP MNA Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur has expressed his concern over death and destruction of Iraqi people by allied forces and called for immediate halt to the attacks.

He said the Pakistan People’s party being one of the largest political party of the country, had been supporting the UN weapon inspectors to detect and destroy the weapons of mass destruction, said a statement issued here on Thursday.

Unfortunately, he added, the PPP was worried over the killing of civilians in Iraq.

The Pakistan People’s party leader said though one could not support the policies of Saddam Hussain and his dictatorial regime but the killings of innocent Iraqis could also not be condoned.

The central leader of the party said the Muslim world had been going through horrendous circumstances from the day Zulfikar Ali Bhutto died, but he vowed the party chairperson Benazir Bhutto would continue to play her role to safeguard the interests of Pakistan.
