Govt to cut car prices

ISLAMABAD, March 27: The prices of cars in Pakistan are being reduced from next month, says Minister for Industries and Production Liaquat Jatoi on Thursday.

“You will hear a good news in April about the reduction in prices of cars”, he added.

Speaking at a joint news conference with prime minister’s Advisers on Finance Shaukat Aziz and on Privatization Dr. Hafeez Shaikh, the minister said that all the relevant details were currently being worked out to reduce the prices of cars.

He said production of Toyota cars have increased from 870 to 1500 per month in order to offer maximum number of vehicles to the citizens.

He said this factory has started double shifts, providing hundreds of additional jobs to the people.
