Prevention of Aids discussed

ABBOTTABAD, Dec 2: Islamic teachings to be followed to get rid of AIDS in practical life.

This was said by the speakers at a one-day workshop organized by the Abbottonians Medical Association with the collaboration of Joint United National Programme on HIV/ AIDS on the eve of the World AIDS Day on Saturday.

The workshop was organized to create public awareness among people about the hazards of this fatal disease. Chairman of the association Dr. Aziz Awan, head of medicines department, AMC, Prof Dr Abdul Karim Saeed, Dr Noman Siddique, Dr Imran Qureshi and Fawad Ahmed Saleh Advocate spoke on the occasion and provided comprehensive study on AIDS and HIA. Beside providing the data of affected people in the country and abroad, speakers discussed at length the causes and preventive measures of the disease.
