Published December 3, 2001

KARACHI, Dec 2: Banking services will not be available to about 0.1 million people of 100 villages if the United Bank branch in Goth Nazar Mohammed is closed, said the residents.

The State Bank has approved closure of the branch accepting a request by the UBL, the residents said.

It is the only bank in the Bin Qasim town in which a large number of residents and workers of Pakistan Steel Mills and Port Qasim Authority have their accounts.—APP
