ISLAMABAD, March 22: The visit of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali would strengthen the country’s relations with China and open new vistas of cooperation and friendship, Information and Media Development Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Saturday.

“China is a time tested friend and trusted neighbouring country of Pakistan which has always supported us through thick and thin,” the minister said in a statement.

“Pakistan and China have adopted unanimous stand based on equity, justice and fair play on various global issues and have jointly endeavoured to achieve the goal of regional and global peace,” he said.

He said the visit would provide an opportunity to the leadership of the countries to discuss the changing political scenario at the highest level.

“This would help them give impetus to their ongoing efforts for world peace,” he said.—APP
