PESHAWAR, March 22: The NWFP Governor, Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah has said that  Gadoon Textile Mills will not only boost the industrialization in the area but it would also provide job opportunities.

During a visit of Gadoon Industrial Estate in district Swabi on Saturday, he inaugurated two newly-established units of the mill which has become one of the major exporters of Pakistan.

In a statement issued on Saturday, he said industrial projects which would require use of raw material and local labour would be encouraged by the government. The people of the locality would  have  job opportunities due to the industrial development in  Gadoon Industrial estate, he added.

He said the government was also making efforts to improve the infrastructure to encourage development of industries in the industrial areas.

The government is also reconstructing Topi-Gadoon road and would try to provide an enter-change at the reasonable point on the under construction Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway.
