KARACHI, March 22: The Sindh chief secretary has directed the officials to take notice of violence against women and take a legal action against those involved.

After recent cases of violence, rapes and murders of women in Karachi, Thatta and Khairpur, the chief secretary asked the DCOs and DPOs of all districts of Sindh to ensure respect of women in their respective districts and take a legal action against the culprits.

He directed them to devise an effective strategy for safeguarding the rights of women and providing them justice. He also sought a report of recent incidents.—PPI
