KARACHI, March 22: The Sindh chief minister, Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar, while taking notice of increasing number of incidents of theft in Haroon Royal City, Phase-I, Gulistan-i- Jauhar, has directed the city police chief to take an immediate action to check such incidents.

According to a press release, the residents of the area had informed Pasban that an organized group of thieves was active in the area.

Meanwhile, the chief minister has ordered treatment of poet Mohammad Khan Majeedi of Sujawal (District Thatta) and asked the director-general health services to arrange treatment of the poet on government expenses.

The chief minister spent a busy day on Saturday and met a number of elected representatives, including Aijaz Jakhrani, Imamuddin Shouqeen, Fariha Razzak, Rani Ambreen and Sultan Khuhawar at the CM House.

On this occasion, the chief minister informed that Rs 5 million were being allocated to each MPA for implementation of development schemes in their respective constituencies.

He urged the elected representatives to monitor the on-going development schemes to ensure that government funds are prudently utilized.—PPI/ APP
