LAHORE, March 21: Three goals by Ali Ahmad Tiwana helped SHV Energy to enter the final of the G Mueeuddin memorial polo cup tournament beating Master Paints 9- 4 1/2 in the semifinal on Friday.

With half a goal on handicap, Master took a slender 1 1/2-1 lead in the first chukker.

Ali scored his first for SHV. Sufi Aamir banged home for Master.

The winners dominated the second chukker to surge ahead 4-2 1/2 by scoring three goals and conceding one.

Asif Yar Tiwana and Atif Yar Tiwana who scored two goals each, struck one goal apiece in this chukker for SHV while Ali slammed in his second goal.

For Master, Azhar Ali who scored two goals struck his first.

SHV went on a scoring spree netting three goals in the third chukker while the losers struck a lone goal to make it 7-3 1/2.

Umar Nazir slammed in his first goal followed by Ali and Atif who struck their third and second goal, respectively. Azhar banged home his second goal for Master.

In the fourth chukker, Asif and Umar Nazir scored their second goal each which made it 9-3 1/2. Sufi Haris scored a last goal for the losers.

Earlier, in the subsidiary semifinal, Sherwood defeated Triple X 6 1/2-4.

Maula Bakhsh and Mir Shoaib scored two goals each for Sherwood while Amanat and Shahzad Aziz added a goal each. Half goal was their handicap.

For Triple X, Shah Shamyl Alam scored two goals while Aurangzeb Monnoo and Raja Amir chipped in a goal each.
