ISLAMABAD, March 19: General Pervez Musharraf’s remarks on the role of the deposed government of Pakistan Muslim League-N in building the Lahore Airport Terminal are in fact the endorsement of the policies of Nawaz Sharif, but unfortunately the general lacked the moral courage to give credit to the deposed prime minister.

Central Secretary Information of Pakistan Muslim League-N Siddiqul Farooq said this in a statement here on Wednesday.

Mr Farooque said the government’s continuation of the development policies framed by Nawaz Sharif government testified to the sincerity of the deposed prime minister in making the country prosperous.

He said the development projects, the present government was now boasting of, were in fact started by the PML-N government. Everybody knows the discontinuation of his policies will stall the country’s march towards development and prosperity, he added.

The PML leader recalled that Nawaz Sharif had initiated this project in 1998 keeping in mind the future economic needs of the country.

He also mentioned other major projects like the motorway, Gawadar port, Kohat tunnel etc and said all these projects spoke of his strong commitment, dedication, economic vision and love for the country.
