RAWALPINDI, March 17: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has finalized its contingency plan for evacuating Pakistanis from Iraq and Kuwait in case the United States and United Kingdom launched an attack, airline’s general manager Imran Gardezi said on Monday.

Talking to this reporter, he said the PIA would not be facing any problem in the evacuation, as the Hajj flights operation would conclude on Monday night, and the same planes might be used for bringing back Pakistanis from the affected region.

He said the national flag carrier would consider the options available to it for the evacuation operation once the airspace restrictions went into effect in case of war.

Speaking about the routine PIA operations, Mr Gardezi said those would be least affected, except for flights to Kuwait.
