The meeting has been called by the party’s secretary- general, Saranjam Khan, on the instruction of party leadership.

All the CWC members, senators and member of National Assembly have been invited to attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, the party’s central information secretary, Siddiqul Farooq, has written a letter to interior minister, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, saying that the Regional Passport Office, Rawalpindi, has refused to issue him passport without assigning any reason.

Mr Farooq said the government did not issue him a passport despite the fact that he had applied for one 16 months ago. He asked the interior minister to intervene in this matter.

He said he had even deposited the fees and that the passport should have been issued to him on December 16, 2001 according to the official procedure but he was refused without assigning any reason.
