KARACHI, Mar 17: In line with a government decision to hold the examination of Information Technology as an optional subject, the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, has decided to acquire a fresh declaration from students aspiring to appear in HSC annual examinations 2003.

A notification of the Board on Monday said that candidates willing to appear in the IT examination for the first time should get a proforma from their colleges and submit it after completion before March 30 to their colleges.

Photocopies of the proforma would also be accepted and it can also be downloaded from the Board website: www.biek.edu.pk.

Meanwhile, an official of the Board said that IT subject, which had been included in the examination forms, stood worthless and now only those students would be allowed to appear in IT optional examination who would formally express their willingness in writing.
