Family robbed

HARIPUR, March 15: Dacoits on Thursday looted ornaments, cash and other valuables worth Rs400,000 from a house in village Kalis in the limits of Khalabat Township police station.

According to Muhammad Afzal, an eatery owner, as he was about to lock the gate of his house at about 7.15pm, some 10 bandits entered the house and robbed the family at gunpoint.

The same night a local religious leader and his police guards, were ambushed by armed robbers on the Dhenda Road.
