DADU, Nov 30: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated inquiry against former MPA and PPP leader, Syed Ghulam Shah Jilani and Mukhtiarkar Johi taluka, Nizamuddin Thatiar. The higher authorities of NAB appointed a team to collect details of properties belonging to Syed Ghulam Ali Shah Jilani and the Mukhtiarkar.

Inspector Muhammad Khan Panhwar of the anti-corruption establishment is appointed as inquiry officer.

Mr Panhwar alongwith a team arrived at Dadu and started collecting details of the properties which included thousands acres of land in various parts of Dadu and costly plots belonging to Mr Jilani, which he had allegedly purchased when he was MPA.

The team has received record of reported corruption from the anti-corruption police station, Dadu, against both the influential. The team also has collected the record from the revenue department regarding the land belonging to the two.

CLASH: Three persons were seriously injured in a clash between two groups, when some armed men attempted to kidnap a dancing girl from a theatre, on the final day of the Urs of Sufi Saint Hazrat Syed Masoom Shah in Mehar town late on Thursday night. Rifles, guns and clubs were used in the clash.

Three labourers of the theatre namely Muhammad Iqbal Jat, Muhammad Yaseen Siyal and Safdar Shah received bullet injuries and were taken to taluka hospital in a critical condition.

When a police party arrived on the scene, the unidentified armed men left the girl and fled.

ARRESTED: Sehwan police arrested accused Abdul Raheem Otho on Friday and recovered one dagger, a pistol and five bullets from his possession.

Police claimed the accused was involved in crime including robbery and kidnapping.
