OKARA, March 8: The PTCL clarified on Saturday a news item published in Dawn on Friday under the headline ‘PTCL breaches its own rules.’
A Central Telecommunication Region spokesman said the distance of Mauza Lasharian from Okara was 29.8 kilometres. He added that the calls rates here were being charged according to the PTCL tariff, i.e. 34.60 seconds for a unit call for a distance more than 25 kilometres from the exchange concerned.
