TCP to buy 50,000 tons of rice

KARACHI, March 6: The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has floated a tender for the purchase of 50,000 tons of Irri-6 parboiled rice for export purposes.

According to TCP official here on Thursday, the corporation has an export order for Irri-6 parboiled rice and, therefore, it wanted to buy rice from domestic market.

The corporation has asked interested rice sellers to quote FOB prices, valid for 15 days, while the delivery period would be 30 days within the opening of letter of credit (LC).—APP
