SHEIKHUPURA, March 2: A nine-year-old boy was killed while two others were injured in aerial firing at a marriage in Richand Khurd village in the jurisdiction of Farooqabad Sadar police on Sunday.

According to the police, friends and relatives resorted to aerial firing to celebrate the marriage of Sakhawat Ali. Three boys, two of them identified as Abid and Refaqat, were witnessing the event when they were hit by stray bullets. Abid died on his way to hospital. The condition of the other two boys is stated to be critical.

Farooqabad Saddar police registered a case against Yousaf and Asif on the complaint of Abid’s father.
