MULTAN, Feb 28: Activists of various political and religious parties took out a protest procession on the call of PML-N to condemn the US and its allies for their designs to inflict war on Iraq.

Workers belonging to the PML-N, PPP and MMA started their march from Chungi No 14 and terminated it at Daulat Gate. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans for peace and against what they alleged American imperialism.

At Daulat Gate, they burnt the Old Glory and chanted slogans against US President Bush and General Pervez Musharraf.

The attendance, however, was thin against the expectations after joining hands by all the opposition parties to participate in the protest.

Meanwhile, Millat Party workers distributed hand bills on Friday urging the people who were supporting Iraq to revise their stance because Saddam Hussein had never supported Pakistan on the Kashmir issue.
