KARACHI: Newsman dies

KARACHI, Feb 26: A senior journalist and member of Karachi Press Club, Mehdi Shirazi, died from heart failure here on Wednesday. He was about 60.

Soon after suffering a heart stroke on Tuesday, he was rushed to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases where he died on Wednesday. Mr Shirazi served Dawn as its correspondent in Larkana in late 60s.

His Namaz-i-Janaza will be offered after Zuhrain prayers at Rizvia Imambargah, Nazimabad. He will be laid to rest at Wadi-i-Hussain, Super Highway. Soyem will be held at Rizvia Imambargah at 4pm on Friday.
