Senators-elect asked to submit returns

ISLAMABAD, Feb 24: Returned candidates for the Senate have been asked to submit the details of their expenditures within five days after the election.

“Names of the returned candidates shall not be published if they fail to submit the returns of their election expenses within five days from the election,” notified Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hassan Khan on Monday.

The winning candidates had been guided to submit such returns on prescribed forms to the returning officers which was a mandatory requirement as contemplated by the Senate (Election) Act, 1975.—APP
