MIRPURKHAS, Feb 24: The district government has made it compulsory for students of class-IX and X to appear in preliminary tests, scheduled to be conducted from Feb 25, ahead of their annual examinations.

This has created problems for students as their annual examinations would commence from March 1.

Test papers are to be provided by the education department.

Talking to newsmen, DCO Qabool Ahmad Shaikh said this decision was taken at a meeting which was presided over by the district Nazim.

He said the purpose of the tests was to prepare students for their annual examinations.
