KARACHI, Feb 22: Six ships carrying chemicals, rock phosphate and to load molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Another five ships including Pergmos to load 15,500 tons of molasses and with containers are due on Monday.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Jamila, Mar Challenger, Kota Teraju, Hansa India to unload and load containers and Action Express to offload high speed diesel were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Al-Ihsaa, Jamila, Festivity and Panos-G while Hansa India, Ocean-1, Kota Teraju and Action Express are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 76,984 tons comprising 24,150 tons of export cargo and 52,834 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Al-Cyonida, with crude oil, Bow Chain, to load molasses, Adimon, with 28,530 tons of phosphate, Bruce Park with 700 tons of chemicals (MEG), Bunga Masdua and Kota Wirwan, with containers.

The following ships are due on Monday; Pergmos, to load 15,500 tons of molasses, Australia Bridge, Kota Intan, Global Progress and Sima Bahar, with containers.
