PESHAWAR, Feb 18: NWFP Science and Technology Minister Hussain Ahmed Kanju has said that the government would send abroad 100 students this year for getting training in information technology.

Science and Technology minister was speaking as the chief guest at the certificate-awarding ceremony of the government servants who had completed their training at the Brains Postgraduate College here on Tuesday.

Mr Kanju said the government was aware of the importance of information technology and, therefore, had planned to send 100 deserving students abroad on government expenses.

The Science and Technology minister said the Brains college would help the government in its endeavours to spread information technology among the people, so that they could find attractive jobs in future and serve the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Brains Postgraduate College Director Zafarullah Khan said the college would hold an international information technology exhibition in near future in which about 150 firms would take part.
