Action against three E&T men initiated

LAHORE, Feb 16: The Punjab excise and taxation department has initiated disciplinary proceedings against its three officials under the Removal from Service (Special Powers) Ordinance, 2001.

Excise Inspector Muhammad Iqbal and Motor Registration Clerk Muhammad Farooq, working in Lahore, have been charged with registering a vehicle on bogus documents.

Another motor registration clerk Muhammad Ishaq has been accused of embezzling large amount of token tax money.— Staff Reporter
