SUKKUR, Nov 27: Tension was mounting along the border with Balochistan in the jurisdiction of Malgozar police station as armed Jakhranis and Bugtis have taken position against each other where a major armed clash may take place any moment.

Tension gripped area after armed Bugtis kidnapped a Pesh Imam, Dhoundo of a local mosque of village Haider Jakhrani.

Later, about 50 persons of Hammas Jakhranis tribe chased Bugti outlaws and took into custody two tractors and brought them to Jacobabad.

The motive behind kidnapping of Pesh Imam could not be known. Police, however, were trying to pacify the two groups and avert the expected armed clash between the two Baloch warrior tribes.

KILLED: A villager died in an attempt to foil the dacoity in his house in village Pir Bux Machi near Sukkur late last night, reports our Khairpur correspondent.

Armed dacoits sneaked into the house of Shamman Ali son of Rasool Bux Machi and tried to collect cash and valuables. In the meantime the inmates woke up and resisted the dacoits.

They opened fire instantly killing Shamman Ali.

The dacoits later fled firing in the air. Hakim Ali, brother of deceased lodged an FIR at Baberloi police station.
