Anwar and Hasan excel

KARACHI, Feb 15: Fine batting by Anwar Ali and Hasan enabled Wackenhut beat Cougers by 76 runs in the remaining quarterfinal of the Abdul Quddoos Sheikh Memorial Multinational Cricket Tournament at NBP Sports Complex here on Saturday.

Opener Anwar scored 66 and Hasan 53 as Wackenhut made 212 for four in their allotted 25 overs.

In reply, Cougers were restricted to 136 for five in 25 overs.

In the semifinals, scheduled for Sunday, Dawn Group face Aga Khan University Staff at AKU Ground while Wackenhut meet National Bank Head Office at NBP Sports Complex.
