Peshawar: gets rain

PESHAWAR, Feb 15: The city and its surrounding areas received light rain on Saturday, causing a chill in the air.

The local Met office expects heavy snowfall in the the NWFP highlands including Chitral, Swat, its adjacent tribal areas and the Northern Areas.

The Met office recorded about three millimetre rain. Officials said Risalpur, some 45kms from Peshawar received one millimetre rain.

The maximum temperature recorded in the afternoon was 13 degree Centigrade in Peshawar.

According to the forecast rain will continue on Sunday and Monday with heavy snowfall on the high altitude areas.—Bureau
