Ex-councillor shot dead

KASUR, Feb 14: A former councillor and another person were shot dead in two different incidents in the district during the last 24 hours.

Police said that former councillor Inayatullah was shot dead by his relative Abdul Ghafoor over a dispute of the second marriage in Chhabar village, Gandasinghwala.

The deceased had contracted second marriage with Surraya Bibi.

In Lalazar Colony, Habibabad, Muhammad Pervez Bhatti was gunned down by Muhammad Latif and his seven accomplices over an old enmity.

Pattoki Saddar police have registered a case.

ABDUCTED: A man along with his three accomplices abducted a girl from her house in Matta village, Raja Jang.

Muhammad Iqbal along with his three accomplices barged into the house of Muhammad Din in his absence and took away his daughter Zarina Bibi.
