KASUR, Feb 11: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri on Tuesday urged the world powers, especially the United States, to play their role in the Kashmir issue in the light of the UN Security Council resolutions.

“Kashmiris are not terrorists. They are fighting for their right to self-determination,” he asserted while speaking to a gathering at Khudian.

He blamed the Indian government for tension between the two countries, saying: “We will take every possible measure to thwart Indian designs.”

The foreign minister said Pakistan would continue playing its role in Afghanistan’s reconstruction.

Mr Kasuri also said he would take all the steps for the development of Khudian and Kasur.—APP
