LAHORE, Feb 11: Lahore wore a deserted look on Tuesday as majority of people left for their hometowns to celebrate Eidul Azha.
The city has expanded to a large extent during the past over one decade, but majority of the inhabitants belong to other cities and return home during holidays.
The city was almost invaded by hundreds of thousands of people from home and abroad during the Basant festivities two days ago, making it hard to travel on the crowded roads and streets. But on Tuesday, the roads presented a deserted look.
The only rush was seen around the makeshift markets of sacrificial animals, the railway station, bus terminals and the airport.
Shops offering readymade clothes and shoes remained opened till late in the night, but there were less customers.
