PESHAWAR, Nov 27: The Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has started work to install a 11-kv panel at the Boni Power House, Chitral, to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to the area.

According to a press release, issued here on Monday, work on the plan would be completed within a couple of days.

Till now, electricity to Boni is supplied through diesel generators only during the night. After the installation of the new panel, which will cost approximately one million rupees, the power supply to the area would become possible during the day.

POWER SUSPENSION: Due to some repairing work on Nov 27 and 29, the electricity supply would remain suspended from the Cantt Grid Station from 9am till noon to Islamia College, Khyber Teaching Hospital, University Town, Tehkal, PAF, the district prison, MES, Saddar Road and Palosi.

On Nov 27, the electricity supply will remain suspended from 8am till noon in Sikanderpura.

From the Peshawar University Grid Station, the supply of power will remain suspended to Rahatabad and Ghareebabad on Nov 28 and 29 from 8am till noon.
