PESHAWAR, Nov 27: A four-day workshop for district Nazims, Naib Nazims, DCOs, EDOs and DOs on decentralized functioning, planning, finance and Information Technology skills concluded here the other day.

The workshop was arranged by the provincial government for the Nazims and Naib Nazims of district Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar and Kohistan.

The participants of the course were briefed in about the Local Government Ordinance, 2001, rules of business, financial management and control system, budget formulation, information technology and other related fields.

From district Mardan the workshop was attend by district Nazim Haji Raza Khan, Naib Nazim, Attaur Rehman, DCO Zahoor Ahmad Khalil and EDO finance Shafiullah Khan. Commenting on the workshop, district Nazim Raza Khan and Naib Nazim Attaur Rehman said that the courses would a play positive role in the smooth functioning of the local government system.

They said that the workshop was very useful, knowledgeable and informative.
