KARACHI: More buses for KU demanded

KARACHI, Feb 8: Vice-Chancellor of Karachi University Prof Dr Zafar Saeed Saifi has demanded that in view of transport difficulties faced by the students, the institution should be provided with at least 20 buses.

He made this demand to the provincial transport minister, Adil Siddiqui, who visited the campus on Saturday.

The minister declared on the occasion that in spite of resource constraints, every possible effort would be made to get 20 buses for Karachi University from various sources.

He announced on the occasion of a cricket tournament that Karachi University would soon get these buses.

The vice-chancellor in his speech referred to the keen interest shown by the students in sports.—APP
