Girl electrocuted catching kite

SHEIKHUPURA, Feb 6: A young girl was electrocuted on Thursday in a bid to catch a stray kite in Imamia Colony.

Sumera Bibi was present on the roof of her house. Seeing the stray kite approaching her, she tried to catch it but her hands touched with a live electric wire passing over her house. She received a severe shock. She was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.

TWO ARRESTED: Farooqabad Saddar police claim to have arrested two outlaws in an operation launched against the anti-social elements during the last 24 hours.

A police team patrolling on Jatri Road spotted five suspects and tried to catch them, but they ran away. The police went after them and caught two fleeing outlaws while their accomplices managed to escape. Police also recovered sophisticated weapons from the arrested criminals, Irfan and Allah Ditta. During interrogation, the arrested

criminals confessed to their involvement in various highway robberies.
