Tevta allowed to recruit teachers

Published February 7, 2003

LAHORE, Feb 6: Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has allowed the Technical Education and Training Authority (Tevta) to recruit teachers in its own scales.

This was stated by Tevta General Manager (Operation) Qamar Bashir in a statement issued here on Thursday.

He said earlier the Punjab Public Service Commission had recruited Tevta teachers. The chief minister also authorized the Tevta to transfer, post and promote its employees, besides enhancing training facilities and computerization of the relevant record.

He said the chief minister had ordered the inclusion of those people in the Board of Governor of Tevta who were genuinely interested in its work. A maximum number of such industrialists and traders should be inducted in the BoG, who could later provide employment to the skilled youth, the CM observed.
