MANSEHRA, Nov 26: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Mansehra, presented a budget of Rs45,745,000 at its meeting held here the other day.

Tehsil Nazim Mohammad Farooq Khan informed the meeting, presided over by Tehsil council speaker Ejaz Akhtar Khan, that the budget had been prepared in the best interest of the public despite heavy financial constraints.

He requested the members of the council to put forward their suggestions for increasing the income of the administration. He said the opening balance of the TMA was Rs2.9 million and the estimated annual income of the council was Rs42,795,000.

The total income of the council is said to be Rs45,745,000. For the expenditures, Mr Khan said, a sum of Rs15,195,800 had been allocated, while Rs11,995,000 had been allocated for development schemes.

The meeting discussed the deficit budget of the Baffa Town Council and it was suggested that the NWFP government would be requested for a special grant of Rs315,000 to overcome the deficit.
