KARACHI, Feb 3: Three ships carrying general cargo, iron ore and containers arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Monday.

Berth occupancy remained on the higher side as five vessels, S-Pioner, Darya Gyan, Bum Woo, Docomo and Tasmin Spirit were busy in loading/discharging wheat, coal, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 37,206 tons entirely of import tonnage consisting of 20,880 tons of furnace oil, 8,665 tons of edible oil and 7,661 tons of coal was handled.

Three ships, Carmen, Docomo and Tasmin Spirit sailed out, while Darya Gyan was due to depart.

City of Eden Burgh, Gold River and BBC Texas were expected to take berths at QICT and Marginal Wharf.
