President, PM discuss top issues

ISLAMABAD, Feb 2: Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali met President Gen Pervez Musharraf here on Sunday evening.

Various important national issues came under discussion during the one-on-one meeting.

The two exchanged views on the premier’s recent visit to the Gulf states.

Mr Jamali informed Gen Musharraf about his meetings with the leadership of the Gulf countries during which the Middle East situation, Iraq crisis, bilateral and regional relations came under discussion.

The PM also apprised the president of the various steps his government was taking for the socio-economic development of the country and for improving the quality of life of its people.

The president exchanged views with the prime minister on the former’s forthcoming visit to Russia.—APP
