Dacoity bid foiled

GUJRANWALA, Feb 1: Residents of village along Pasrur Road foiled a dacoity bid on Saturday.

According to the report reaching, around 20 men entered some houses in Jandiala Baghwala by scaling boundary walls.

The inmates of these houses opened fire. The masked men escaped while retaliating. Saddar police are investigating.

KASHMIR DAY: Two processions would be taken out by the district government on Feb 5 in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by the executive district officer (revenue) here on Saturday.

The processions would be taken out from the general bus stand and Sheranwala Bagh. The participants would parade various city roads to reach Gondlanwala chowk. District Nazim Fiaz Ahmad Chattha would lead a procession.
