Man dies in accident

KHAIRPUR, Feb 1: One person, Ali Gulab, 65, was killed on Friday night after being hit by a wagon on the National Highway near Kot Diji.

PROTEST: Residents of the Sobhodero and Bozdar Wada talukas, staged a demonstration in Thari Mir Wah to protest against un- announced load-shedding of electricity.

The protesters blamed the Hesco officials for their sufferings.

PROMOTED: The superintending engineer, Hesco, Sukkur Circle, Ziaullah Khan, on Saturday promoted 33 Hesco employees in Khairpur, Ranipur, Rohri and Ghotki.

He advised them to perform their duties with responsibility and sincerity.

Meanwhile, Zafar Qureshi, engineering manager, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Khairpur station, has been promoted and appointed as the in-charge of the Superhighway Transmitter, PBC, Karachi. Whereas, Wajeehal Mohammad has been appointed as the engineering manager, Khairpur.
