LAHORE, Jan 30: Four Pakistani officials, including a women, were elected to different posts of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) at elections held in Kuwait on Jan 24.

The elected officials are Muhammad Latif (OCA vice-president), Khawaja Farooq Saeed (member rules committee), Sarfraz Ahmad (member cultural committee), and Sadiqa Afzal (member women sports committee).

Meanwhile, in a related development, Latif who is also POA Secretary was not sure when asked to comment what the official reaction would be if India did not participate in the forthcoming SAF Games.

“Since there is no such precedence in the history of IOC that any country has refused to participate in any scheduled activity of IOC  due to political reasons.’’ Latif said.
