BAJAUR, Jan 29: The people faced difficulties as electricity supply to the tribal agency was suspended on Tuesday night due to a fault in the local grid station.

The locals said the grid station was hit by lightning, cutting power supply to all areas of the agency.

However, a Wapda official, Abdul Malik, said there was no sign of lightning hitting the grid station. He said the grid station developed a fault because of overloading and costly equipment were damaged.

He said 20 technicians had reached the agency from Peshawar and Mardan to remove the fault and restore the supply.—Our Correspondent
