KARACHI: Appeals dismissed

KARACHI, Jan 29: An Anti-Terrorism Appellate bench of High Court of Sindh, comprising Justice Wahid Bux Brohi and Justice Muhammed Moosa K. Leghari, on Wednesday dismissed an appeal filed by two appellants convicted in a motorcycle snatching case.

Jeo Raj and Imam Buksh sentenced to serve Rigorous Imprisonment for seven years and also fined for Rs25,000 by ATC I on Nov 12, 1999, preferred the appeal against their conviction and sentence.

The bench, after hearing the counsel for appellants and state, dismissed the appeal while modifying the sentence. The bench reduced seven year term to five years and imprisonment in case of default in payment of fine from 18 months to a year.— APP
