LAHORE, March 28: PPP Secretary-General Sardar Latif Khosa has said the party will be merged with PPP Parliamentarians after the forthcoming general election.

“We will contest the forthcoming elections on the PPPP symbol arrow. But after that (elections), we will try to go for the merger of the PPP and the PPPP through legal ways,” he said.

Talking to Dawn on Thursday, the former governor said: “We want to restore the status of our mother party. The PPP is likely to contest elections after 2013 on sword symbol.”

The Election Commission has recently registered PPP (Bilawal Bhutto Zardari) with Bilawal as its patron-in-chief and Amin Fahim its president.

“Once both the parties are merged, Bilawal will be the head,” Mr Khosa said.
