THE government banned YouTube just for a useless and blasphemous video. There are millions of sermons, religious and educational material available on YouTube which cannot be accessed by the public.
Is there any common sense? I ask the authorities: how many other countries, besides Pakistan, have banned YouTube for posting blasphemous material?

Well, its Certainly not blocked in United Arab Emirates as i work in Abu Dhabi. and ban in indonesia was back in 2008 only. and Afghanistan, the less spoken, the better!!

The ban is to satisfy the demands of people who have no time for education or the positive benefits of youtube. Those are the people our government is afraid of.

The internet is now the cutting edge of education for those who cannot afford to attend university full time.
If millions do not want to live with the rest of the world that is their problem, not our problem. The internet means education and the English language is the key to the door of the world community.

it is true that those material adds fire to fuel, but many of useful data cannot be seen as no other muslim state have banned it,its pakistan who only implicates unusual remedies rather than firm steps

I would support a ban for any hate mongering media whether it si against ISlam or others. Ask teh Americans to show ALjazeera to their public also before pointing fingers at others. Their public is the most brainwashed being fed one side fo teh story all the time.

As a Muslim It is nice decision but Government must check about blasphemous tendency to eradicate such contents from YOUTUBE. Till the contents not removed, Ban is right.
