LAHORE, Jan 27: Faisalabad trounced Lodhran 15-0 in the Punjab Under-16 Inter-district hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium on Monday.

Baqir of Faisalabad displayed a superb game scoring five goals in the 10th, 26th, 36th, 43rd, 56th and the 57th minute. He was ably supported by Naveed and Qasim who scored three goals each.

The other scorers for Faisalabad were Fazal, with two goals in the 33rd and 53rd minute, Azhar in the 15th minute and Safdar in the 17th.

A 47th minute goal by Fareed Ahmad enabled Narowal to beat Mianwali 3-2 after being down 2-1 at half time.

Narowal took lead in the 15th minute through Muhammad Umair. But Mianwali struck twice through Pervez in the 18th and Zahoor in the 25th minute to surge ahead.

Narowal hit back and equalised in the 43rd minute through Nasir before Fareed struck the match-winner.

A goal by Syed Irfan in the 60th minute earned Muzaffargarh 2-1 win over Sheikhupura 2-1.

Muzaffargarh drew first blood when Azam scored a field goal in the 20th minute. Sheikhupura equalised through Azeem Anwar in the 59th minute with Irfan slamming in the winner a minute later.

Rahim Yar Khan outplayed Dera Ghazi Khan 3-1. Qamar Aslam, put them ahead in the 8th minute. Arif Allah Khan struck back in the 11th minute.

Sajid Hussain (46th minute) and Hafiz Navid Anjum (54th) completed the tally.

Two goals by Javed Iqbal guided Jehlum to earn 3-0 win against Pakpattan. Javed scored the first goal in the 4th minute. Tahir Hussain doubled the lead in the 38th minute before Javed made it 3-0 in the 55th minute.

Khanewal secured a 4-1 win against Rajanpur.

Imran Mustafa struck the board in the 27th minute.  Imran Khan (40th) made it 2-0 while Amjad Ali (44th) slammed in another to make it 3-0. Khanewal struck again in the 50th minute while Muhammad Taufique netted the consolation goal for Rajanpur in the 54th minute.

Adeel Akram scored thrice to lead Sargodha to 6-2 victory over Kasur after conceding 1-0 lead in 8th minute through Muhammad Nadeem.

Two goals by Adeel within four minutes of each other the winners back on track. Sargodha surged 4-1 ahead when Muhammad Akram scored a goal in the 23rd minute and in next minute Rashid banged home a goal.

Kasur managed their second goal through Muhammad Imran in the 40th minute to reduce the margin 4-2. But Sargodha scored two more to complete the win. Adeel and Usman struck in the 42nd and 59th minute.

Bahawalpur thrashed Bhakkar 5-0 after taking 4-0 lead in the first session of play.

Shamshad Ahmad (8th minute), Wasif (15th), Najeeb-ur-Rehman (17th), Balal Gulzar (30th) and Irfan Tahir (55th) were the scorers.

Two goals each by Muhammad Bilal and Muhammad Faiz helped Khushab to notch up 5-0 win against Sahiwal after gaining 4-0 lead in first half.

Faiaz (10th minute), Hafiz Jamil (16th), Bilal (17th, 28th) Faiz (47th) completed the tally.

Gujrat got walk over against Layyah.
