Light rain in Lahore

LAHORE, Jan 27: There was a drizzle and light rain in Lahore and several other cities in the NWFP and the Northern Areas on Monday.

Multan and Murree too received light rain.

In Lahore, it remained partly cloudy throughout the day and the drizzle started in the evening.

Because of the elimination of fog, the city’s night temperature considerably increased from Saturday’s 5.5 degrees C to 10.4 degrees C. The maximum temperature was 23.5 degrees C against 5.6 degrees C of Saturday.

According to the Met office, Lasbela received 15mm of rain, Sibbi and Astore 2mm, Kalam and Malam Jabba 1mm each. There was drizzle in Garhi Dupatta, Rawlakot, Muzaffarabad and Karachi.

It has forecast light rain in Lahore and many other cities in the Punjab, the NWFP and the Northern Areas during the next 24 hours.

The minimum temperature in Parachinar was -7 degrees, Kalam -6, Murree -5, and Malam Jabba, Skardu and Astore -2 degrees C.
